Terms & Conditions

Please read the following carefully as the terms outlined on this page apply generally to all tour products and packages sold by Christchurch Taxi Tours. Completing your booking is confirmation you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

​PAYMENTS:

  • Full payment at time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

  • New Zealand dollars only.

REFUNDS: Will be reimbursed to the paying Credit Card or bank account. No refunds will be made once your tour has commenced. Nor will any refund be available in respect of any tours, accommodation, hires, services or inclusions not utilized. Payments unused are non-refundable unless cancelled by a third-party operator of the service.

IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL A BOOKING.

Please understand we are a small family business. Cancellation fee forfeiture covers costs involved in infrastructure development, consulting, quotes, correspondence etc, etc and our general involvement up to cancellation date. Use your travel insurance to cover reimbursement.

IF YOU (the client) CANCEL A BOOKING.

  • Cancel anytime between booking and 72 hours before booking date – forfeit 25% - less any third party charges. (Admission charges etc.)

  • CANCEL inside 76 hours out from your booking date – no refund, no exceptions.

  • NOTE: Cancellations must be in writing – email chchtaxitours@gmail.com.

Cruise Excursions cancelled due to bad weather (Force Majeure). When your ship cannot dock at the port – 75% refund less any third party charges (admissions, tickets etc) . The difference should be claimed back through your travel insurance.

WHEN WE CANCEL YOUR BOOKING.

  1. Weather interruptions (snow/storm) to itineraries/tour packages are beyond our control. We will do everything possible to rearrange services in such an event but cannot be held financially responsible for your losses due to these interruptions. Again, we strongly recommend travel insurance.

  2. In the unlikely event Christchurch Taxi Tours are forced to cancel a tour - you will receive a full refund LESS a 25% Administration Fee. Recover this through your travel insurance.

COVID & OTHER COMMUNICABLE DISEASES:

Clients will be asked to confirm they are not travelling with Covid, Monkeypox or any other communicable diseases. Clients failing to declare and who are subsequently proven to affect other clients, will be held responsible for all expenses occurring from this failure to declare for all clients on a tour.

 

DEPOSIT AND FINAL PAYMENT

If it is agreed by Christchurch Taxi Tours that a deposit of 25% of the total tour amount can be paid in the form of a deposit, but deposits are non-refundable for changes of mind or cancellation by you (subject to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act). 

​Final payment is required no later than four (4)  weeks prior to departure unless otherwise stated. Some tour charges must be paid in full at the time of booking.

CREDIT CARDS, PAYPAL AND BOOKING FEES ETC

  • PayPal Transaction surcharge 2.5%

  • IBT (International Bank Transfer)  surcharge 2.5%.
